Colonial Theatre, Phoenixville - a true community treasure.

Downtown Phoenixville is a fabulous case study in urban revival.   Bridge St., the heart of downtown Phoenixville, is buzzing with activity, with newly opened businesses, antique stores, awesome new and old restaurants and cafes, open air events in Spring and Summer.  This revival will surely help boost real estate values in the neighborhood.

Of the many things that you can do in the heart of the historic district in Phoenixville, I highly recommend a visit to The Colonial Theatre.  It is a 110+ year old charming theatre, revived in 1999 by a non profit association and is one of a kind in Chester county.  A visit to the building is like walking into a museum - and is a treat in itself.  The theater screens art and independent films, concerts, documentaries, plays, children's festivals in summer, TED talks, community events and so much more.....

Support this local institution and contribute to its upkeep and restoration by volunteering, becoming a member, donating to the non profit, watch shows and movies, buy advertising....  It is truly a local gem.

With the Oscar fever still raging, stop by to see winner of the best film "the Artist".   I promise you, you will enjoy the entire experience much more here, than anywhere else.

Will I see you there this week?
