Buying a house on the Internet - my first blind sale!

Buy books or music online?  Sure.
Clothes and shoes without trying them on?  Maybe.
Your first home? Well....maybe that's stretching it!

Or Not.
I just helped a buyer settle on a property that he had never seen.  My buyer lives in Alaska and was looking to invest in real estate in the Downingtown, West Chester, Exton, Chester Springs area.  He felt it was the right time, he had saved up the funds and had a trusted local Realtor.  That's all he needed to know.

We shortlisted this condo in West Chester among several others in the price range. He saw the listing online, saw the pictures, asked a lot of questions, had some understanding of the area since he has lived here before - and decided to make a bid.  I visited the property with a local friend of his, coordinated negotiations,  paperwork, inspections, mortgage etc. electronically and the buyer just flew down for settlement.  My first blind sale.  Took a buyer with some courage and lots of trust, and I am proud it worked out great!  The house is now rented and he is breaking even.  Could not have asked for a smoother transaction.

Here are the buyer's thoughts on his experience....A success story don't you think?
