School Report Card

The PA Department of Education publishes yearly a school district report card for each of the 501 school districts within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The district report card contains the following information (the report cards are in compliance with Federal No Child Left Behind legislation):

Attendance and graduation data
Accountability report
Assessment report
Adequate yearly progress status
Least restrictive environment
Teacher qualifications
National assessment of educational progress

The use of the PA Department of Education report cards allows you full access to consistent information about anyone of the 501 school districts within the Commonwealth.  As such, clients can contrast and compare one or more districts/individual schools in an objective manner based on the above criteria.   Report cards are also available for charter schools within each district.

    AYP, or Adequate Yearly Progress, is a key measure of school performance established by the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The Pennsylvania Department of Education evaluates all Pennsylvania public schools and districts annually for Adequate Yearly Progress based on the results of the spring PSSA testing cycle and measures of participation, attendance, and graduation.
