Fall is the time for the Indian festival of Diwali, and the local YMCA Diwali celebration is one I look forward to.
This year - The YMCA’s 2012 Diwali celebration is on Saturday,November 10th. By popular demand, the organizers moved the event from a Friday evening to Saturday hoping to see much more participation. It is the largest community event of its kind in Chester County! Last year's event was attended by over a 1000 people. Read more about the 2011 event here.
The event includes a cultural show extravaganza, arts and crafts for children and adults, an open dance floor with popular Bollywood numbers and ofcourse Indian food from the popular local restaurants. The Y also offers special Zumba trial lessons and other activities.
