Whether it’s around the world, across the country or a nearby city, moving to a new home can have a big impact on the lives of your clients, particularly teenagers. To support high school students and their families who have experienced a move, we are proud to launch the 2017 NRT Share Your Moving Story Scholarship Program, which will award a total of $20,000 in college scholarships to 10 worthy applicants across the country.

The Share Your Moving Story Scholarship Program gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to write an essay about how their moving experience or that of a loved one has affected them. Ten applicants will be selected to receive a $2,000 scholarship to the college of their choice. The deadline to submit an essay is June 15, 2017, so now is a good time to begin spreading the word.

6 simple rituals for productivity

Read a good article on simple things to do to stay productive that you might enjoy.  It can be helpful in the busy holiday season when stress levels are high with working, shopping, baking, charity projects school events and concerts and more juggling that we do everyday.

The article was written by Amber Rae for Fastcompany.com, and I gave it my own twist.

1. Drink a glass of water when you wake up. One tends to get dehydrated at night - also we may forget to drink during the day since we are multitasking.

2. Define your top 3.  Three things you MUST do before the day is over.  Great exercise in prioritizing.

3. Take regular breaks.  Focus on a particular task and time yourself to take  a break once it is done or wind up when the time is up.  Cannot spend an inordinate amount of time on tasks - gotta move on.

4. Workout daily.  Some form of activity - Yoga, Pilates, walk ...anything that gets the circulation going whatever your personal exercise plan.

5. Express gratitude. Gratitude fosters happiness. What are you grateful for today?

6. Reflect daily. Bring closure to your day through reflection. What went well, what needs improvement?

Coldwell Banker Preferred - Market Share 2011

I love my office because the people are wonderful.  It is important to be around colleagues who you admire and look up to... who are warm and cheerful and always ready to help.  I believe if you love doing what you do - success will follow.  Here is a perfect example.

In this real estate market - with the doom and gloom that the media reports, Coldwell Banker Preferred with 7 offices in Southeastern Pa, is plugging away.  While the overall market (units sold) was down 9% in 2010, Coldwell Banker Preferred was up over 6%.  Check out how well we did against the competition!

We maintained our #3 market position and were less than 70 transactions from taking a second place finish.  As a point of reference,  at the end of 2009, CB Pref was more than 1,200 transactions from the 2nd place spot.  We will be in the #2 market share position in 2011 and will do it with fewer agents than any other company!
